Tagipedia utilizes tagging technologies, such as Barcode and RFID , to bring many services to its users. With just a mobile phone, the user can obtain on-the-spot information through one of Tagipedian applications, saving both time and effort.

The Idea

Tagipedia offers new type of services; that is Tag Based Services (TBS).

The TBS mobile client reads the tag (Barcode through mobile phone camera or RFID through RFID scanner), and then looks it up at Tagipedia. Tagipedia responds with information about this tag, along with a list of services that are offered for this tag. The user can then choose any service and run it on the mobile device.

Tagipedia is open, meaning that users (Tagipedians) can assign services or add more information to any tag, making it very customizable.
